Türkiye has delivered another shipment of humanitarian aid to Venezuela to support communities devastated by the powerful earthquakes that struck the country in late June.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) dispatched 100 tents, 200 sleeping bags, 200 beds, and a range of kitchen supplies as part of its ongoing relief effort, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
Turkish Ambassador to Venezuela Naci Aydan Karamanoglu said two additional aircraft carrying humanitarian assistance are scheduled to arrive on July 12, further strengthening emergency support for affected areas.
According to the latest official figures, the June 24 earthquakes have claimed 3,889 lives and left 16,740 people injured. Some 190 buildings were completely destroyed, while another 856 structures sustained damage.
The region has also experienced 1,142 aftershocks since the initial earthquakes, complicating rescue operations and recovery efforts as humanitarian assistance continues to reach those in need.
