World Cup Events Begin in Samarkand

The World Triathlon Cup Samarkand 2025 and the World Triathlon Para Cup Samarkand 2025 have officially kicked off at the Silk Road Samarkand International Tourist Center.

The para-triathlon competitions, featuring participants from more than 35 countries, include swimming over a 750-meter distance, a 19-kilometer cycling race, and a 5-kilometer run, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.

In the triathlon event, participants must complete a 1.5-kilometer swim, followed by 40 kilometers of cycling and a 10-kilometer run.
