Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, Ilhom Abdurahmon, has visited ASAN service centers in Baku to study Azerbaijan’s innovative, citizen-focused public service system.
At the request of the Tajik side, the ambassador met with Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The talks focused on Azerbaijan’s experience in modernizing public administration through digital solutions and citizen-centered innovation.
Officials briefed the Tajik delegation on the ASAN service system, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev. The model was highlighted for its role in improving transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of government services. It was also noted that Azerbaijan is actively exporting the ASAN model as an intellectual brand and currently cooperates with more than 30 countries in this area.
Ambassador Abdurahmon praised the ASAN service experience, describing it as highly impressive and expressing interest in sharing Azerbaijan’s practices with Tajikistan. He also congratulated Azerbaijan on the opening of a Pakistan ASAN service center, created based on the Azerbaijani model.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured several key innovation and service hubs, including an ASAN service center, the INNOLAND Incubation and Acceleration Center, Mobile ASAN, the ABAD public legal entity, and the Bilim Baku center. The guests were introduced to ongoing projects aimed at expanding innovation-driven public services across Azerbaijan.
