Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Esen Aydogdyyev, has met with Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Moscow, Mawlawi Gul Hassan Hassan, to reaffirm the historic ties between their countries and discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
The diplomats emphasized Afghanistan’s strategic role as a vital transit hub linking Central and South Asia and highlighted key regional infrastructure projects supported by Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
Among these initiatives are the TAPI gas pipeline, providing Afghanistan with essential energy and transit revenues; the TAP power and fiber optic lines aimed at improving electricity and communications; and new railway construction projects designed to open trade routes and enhance connectivity. These efforts aim to stimulate local economies, create jobs, and foster mutual interdependence, contributing to lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and the broader region.
