Kazakh Leader Visits Besqaru Plant to Inspect Armored Vehicles

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has visited the Besqaru plant, a key defense industry enterprise producing and maintaining wheeled and tracked armored vehicles.

During the visit, President Tokayev surveyed the workshops, assembly stages, technological processes, and production capabilities, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The plant manufactures up to 200 amphibious wheeled armored vehicles annually, including the Taimas 8x8 and Aibar 4x4, along with tracked equipment such as the Tulpar.

Besqaru supplies its products to Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry and other security agencies. The production site, launched in February 2025 with an investment of 13.5 billion tenge ($26.263 million), has created 134 jobs.

The president also met with plant workers, wishing them success in their work. Earlier, he had inspected Astana’s lifting equipment manufacturer.
