Kyrgyzstan Boosts Exports to China with New Market Access

Kyrgyzstan is set to boost exports to China with plans to finalize five new veterinary and sanitary protocols.

The agreements will open Chinese market access for heat-treated beef, small ruminant meat, horse meat and by-products, horse hides, and live equines, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

The move will expand the country’s export potential, diversify products, and enhance the competitiveness of Kyrgyz goods. Currently, Kyrgyz producers already export over 32 agricultural and food items, including honey, beans, nuts, dairy, fish, and wool.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry supports exporters through guidance on inspections, compliance with safety standards, and promotion of new product categories, reflecting growing confidence from Chinese regulatory authorities in the quality of Kyrgyz goods.
