Russian Strikes Hit Ports and Industry in Ukraine’s Odesa

Russian forces have launched strikes on Ukraine’s Odesa region, hitting port and industrial facilities.

The attacks killed one person and injured two others, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said the strikes damaged administrative, production, and warehouse buildings. Fires broke out at some sites but were quickly extinguished by emergency services. The body of the deceased was recovered from rubble, while the injured are receiving medical care.

Emergency teams remain on site, and authorities are documenting the attacks as part of ongoing investigations into war crimes.

The Odesa region has seen a spike in Russian strikes in recent days, targeting ports and energy infrastructure. Recent attacks on Pivdennyi port caused a vegetable oil spill, polluting the coastal zone, and damaged a civilian vessel under the Lebanese flag carrying Ukrainian soybeans.

Russian forces also targeted the bridge at Maiaky on the Odesa-Reni highway, disrupting travel to border crossings and western settlements. Authorities have arranged alternative routes to maintain transport links.
