Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) have signed a protocol for a $6.5 million grant project to strengthen government digitalisation.

Tajik Minister Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali emphasized the steady growth of bilateral relations and economic cooperation, which provides a solid base for joint initiatives, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

The project will create a unified platform to monitor and evaluate strategic documents and digitalize coordination and planning for higher, secondary, and vocational education placements.

KOICA Director General Kang Seoung Hun confirmed that the agency will dedicate its resources and expertise to ensure the project’s success.

Earlier, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted that digitalisation and AI tools could add $14-20 billion to the country’s GDP during an awards ceremony for national business competitions.
